We have been on a journey. Here are some of the highlights since our CEO David Shuster set the business up over 15 years ago.
David sets up the company from home
After graduating with an MSc in IT from the University of Glasgow – and spending 2 years working for a local IT company – CEO David Shuster sets up Managed IT Experts from his home office.
Providing IT support locally in Dunfermline
As the fledgling grows to meet the expanding IT needs of its first customers in the Dunfermline area, David adds the first Managed IT Expert employee to the team.
Our first office opens in Dunfermline
In 2007, as the Managed IT Experts team continues to expand, office space becomes essential and the team moves into its first office in Dunfermline.
Managed IT Experts becomes a Microsoft Silver partner
Managed IT Experts gains the coveted Silver Competency from Microsoft which recognizes us as one of the top 5% of Microsoft partners globally.
We add a local office in Edinburgh
We open our Edinburgh office in Young Street to ensure we can provide effective, local IT support in Edinburgh and that we can better meet the needs of our customers in the city and surrounding areas.
We begin to offer Cloud solutions
As Cloud opportunities open up for SMBs, Managed IT Experts enables our customers to realise the business benefits of the Cloud via products like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.
The Managed IT Experts team goes hybrid
One of the things that sets us apart as an IT Support provider is that we practice a lot of what we preach with customers – and we move to a fully Hybrid working model right across the company.
We head West as our Glasgow office opens
We continue to expand our IT support in Glasgow for Small and Medium-sized businesses with the opening of a new local office in the Wright Business Centre in Glasgow.
We achieve coveted ISO certification
A journey that started in 2021 ends up with us gaining a successful ISO certification in January 2022 . Which provides an independent endorsement of our company processes.
